About a week ago we finally had a bout of cold weather in Houston and I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to layer up and wear a few of my winter pieces. Living in a climate that doesn’t experience much cold weather is a bonus when you don’t have to shovel snow off of your car in the morning, but the constant warmth here is seriously bringing my winter wardrobe down.
I love starting an outfit with a neutral base and then adding pops of color and fun accessories to give the look some interest. I paired my knee high boots with this really versatile back corduroy skirt that I scored for ten dollars in the Zara winter sale. I paired the skirt with a salmon pink top that has a cute tasseling detail on the front. I added a light jacket with a faux fur trim to keep me nice and toasty and finished it off with my tan floppy hat.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this ootd post! It was such a fun look to put together. What pieces have you been loving for the winter season?
