Solvaderm Review + Skincare Haul

DSC_0291Hello everyone! Today I have a skincare haul and a product review for you. I recently picked up a few new skincare bits that I wanted to share with you all so I hope you enjoy this post!

DSC_0313First I want to share a serum that I was sent from Solvaderm Skincare. I received their ACE-FERLIC serum that is crafted to help repair damage to skin and decrease signs of aging by preventing UV damage and improving the surface of the skin by depleting hyper-pigmentation.

Its very thin and sinks into the skin easily. The scent isn’t great but it doesn’t linger so I wasn’t too bothered by that. My skin has  no visible sun damage and I just entered my twenties so I don’t really have any wrinkles.  I can’t honestly speak to whether or not this product helps to erase signs of aging or sun damage.

My skin felt nice and moisturized after applying it, which I believe is due to the vitamins and antioxidants in this serum. Overall I liked it, and I think that it may work for someone who is in the market for a product that addresses these needs. However, it wasn’t crafted for my skin needs.

If you’re interested in this product you can find it here.

*I was given this product in exchange for my honest opinion

DSC_0301Next, I want to share this deodorant that I’ve been loving lately. It may be TMI to talk about deodorant but oh well, we all use it!

This one is from Dove and it’s a spray deodorant, which was a bit strange when I first used it but it’s so convenient and quick that I doubt I’ll be going back to solid or gel anytime soon. It dries instantly and you don’t have to worry about it getting on your clothes and leaving marks behind. Overall I really love this product!

DSC_0303This cleanser is great for anyone who wants a really deep & clarifying cleanse, and also for those who have oily/acne prone skin. I don’t feel like my skin is completely stripped after using it, but you definitely have to follow up with a good moisturizer and I don’t know if I would recommend this to anyone with really sensitive or dry skin. However, if your skin type is like mine then you may want to give this a try. It’s really affordable and also has a really nice cooling sensation on the skin!

DSC_0305I don’t have a lot to say about this product. It removes oil and purifies your skin. I use this mainly when I have breakouts and I don’t want bacteria to spread on my face.

DSC_0307Lastly I have the Honeymania bath melt from The Body Shop. I love it because the scent reminds me of Honey I Washed the Kids from Lush. It’s an exact dupe but it smells similar to it. Before this I’d never tried a bath melt from the Body Shop and overall I liked it. It’s foamy, and a nice treat for the bath!

  1. Excellent post. I was checking constantly this weblog and I am inspired!

Extremely helpful information particularly the ultimate part 🙂 I deal with such information much.
I was looking for this particular info for a long time.
    Thanks and good luck.

  2. Wow, the Solvaderm product is in a completely different class of products than those with which you have rated. Disappointing that they sent it to someone who is not yet able to use it appropriately. Use it regularly with quality products for 6 months say on sun spots if you have one or two. Give it to your mom.
This is an expensive product that many women would gladly take off your hands to try.
Lucky you get to toss it in your product drawer…hope you donate those items you don’t use to a battered women’s shelter. Not meaning to diss you on your blog. Actually good luck. However, if I may suggest to differentiate with knowledge so not to be embarrassed or disrespectful to manufacturers, the difference between deep discount items and oblivion to prestige.

    • Sorry to hear that your upset over my blog post. My opinions and reviews are %100 my own and I don’t apologize for my statements or my experiences with products. Regardless of the price or brand of a product I give honest reviews based on my experience with it.

  3. Hmm I guess that serum is to compete against the Skinceuticals C E Ferulic version – interesting, it costs about 30% less.
I use that Clean & Clear astringent for when I need my skin to be super free of oils right before waxing! It’s great for that purpose. 😀
It’s not TMI to talk about deodorant, it’s perfectly normal! Heck, I’m fine with tampon talk and bra chit chat – why not? 😛
