A common go to for lip colors on Valentines Day is red, but after the holiday season I’m feeling a little bit bored with red statement lips and I’ve been going for pink/rose colors that give you a more natural look. Don’t get me wrong I love a bold lip but sometimes neutral tones can be really understated and beautiful.
1. NYX Matte Lipstick in Euro Trash
I know the name is a bit rude but I adore NYX lip products. The shade is a mauvey pink that would look really beautiful with a brown smokey eye. It’s really pigmented and has a really sultry look. It reminds Kylie Jenner/90’s inspired color.
2. NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural
This gloss is perfect for anyone who wants to go for a nude shade. I really don’t like nudes that are completely beige, but this one has quite a lot of pink in it. It’s a really smooth gloss, but I do have to say that unlike the name suggests this isn’t an extremely shiny gloss. It has enough shine for me but if you’re looking for a glassy finish I wouldn’t pick this one up.
3. Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Coquette
If you are going for a super low maintenance look but still want to add a bit of color to your lips these gloss sticks by Revlon are great. The color looks kinda intense in the packaging but it goes on sheer and leaves a pretty wash of color!
4. Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Rose
These are really buttery and moisturizing for a lipstick. The color is a beautiful rose shade and it is has a really warm undertone. The only downside is that is doesn’t last very long and you have to re-apply every couple of hours when wearing it.
5. Maybelline Colorsensational Matte Lipstick in A Touch of Spice
I won’t go on too long about this one. I’ve raved about this line from Maybelline so many times already. It’s long wearing, super pigmented, and a total bargain for the price. For some reason it’s coming off a lot darker on camera than it is in real life, it’s a medium toned brown based pink.
6. MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Speak Louder
This is one of my all time favorite pink lipsticks. It has a Barbie pink feel because of the blue undertones and as you can probably guess the Cremesheen formula from MAC is really soft and smooth on the lips.
