3 Tips for Perfect Lipstick All Day Long!

2014_10 _ 27

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, I am a big fan of red and berry lips. Many people are afraid to wear bold colors but they are so lovely for this time of year and can really take your makeup look to the next level.

I have 3 tips to share with you that I use when I want to wear a bold lip and have it last all day long with no touch ups or re-application.

  1. Choose a matte shade.

A matte finish will be less likely to transfer when eating or drinking, or move around on your face. The last thing that you want is to be out and about and have lipstick all around your mouth! They are also the longest lasting on the lips due to the dry formulation.

  1. Use a small brush to line the lips.

In my opinion this is more cost effective and more precise than a lip liner. You don’t have to buy another product that will match the shade of lipstick that you are wearing and the brush will give you more precision than a lip liner pencil. You can use a small angled brush, a lip brush, or any brush with a fine tip.

  1. Don’t forget to blot!

You may feel silly while doing it, but blotting will take off the access layer of lipstick that isn’t clinging to your lips. This last step is really easy and all you need to do it is a small square of tissue but it will really help your lipstick last through the day!

I hope you found this useful! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and thanks for reading πŸ™‚

    • It’s from the Maybelline Color Sensational matte line and the shade is Divine Wine!
I got it pretty recently so you should be able to find it in any of the drugstores.
      Thanks for reading!!!
