My favorite part of award shows is seeing the fabulous gowns that are showcased on the red carpet. Here are three of my favorite looks from this year’s 66th annual Emmy awards.
I love everything about Rose Byrne’s ensemble. The gown is by Calvin Klein and it fits her like a glove. The color is pale and soft without washing her out, the cut is daring while still being classy, and the cut-outs are very on trend.
The warm color of her hair and simple jewelry brings the whole look together and polishes it off.
Sarah Hyland always looks stunning but this crop top and full skirt hit all the right marks. She the fullness of the skirt is balanced out by the fun cut of the top, which keeps the look youthful and a little sexy. The high bun and stud earrings add a tiny bit of regality to the look.
I’m not surprised that I love this look as it is created by one of my favorite designers, Christian Siriano. I love how he can take a classic cut and add contemporary elements to it.
We saw a lot of red and white gowns on the carpet and these are colors that we see surface every year. Its refreshing when a designer showcases something fresh. I think that the structured pleats are amazing and forget plunging neck lines. These days its all about the high neck.
